ARMORY

The Dresden Armory consists of more than 10,000 objects of Russian, Western European and Oriental arms and armor. Here you get a comprehensive idea of the development of arms and armor from the Middle Ages to the middle of the eighteenth century. The items of the collection had been owned previously by the Wettin prince electors of Saxony, which gives the collection a personal touch that you will not find in any other collection in Dresden. Among other Armories in Germany the 'Ruestkammer' is the best and very few armories worldwide can be compared with it.
