
With an unparalleled diversity of objects the Dresden State Collections are among the most universal and comprehensive collections worldwide. Constructed throughout four and a half centuries, the eleven museums provide exquisite treasures of art of the ancient world, Western Europe, the countries of the Orient as well as outstanding forms of presentation. The museums include collections of painting, sculpture, graphic and applied arts, and coins and they occupy magnificent buildings like the Zwinger, the Dresden Castle and the Albertinum.
The Old Masters Gallery is the most visited museum in Dresden and one of the most important painting collections of the world, which allows one to observe the evolution of Italian painting thanks to works of Botticelli, Giorgione, Titian, Correggio, Tintoretto, Veronese and many others. Raphael's 'Sistine Madonna' is widely recognized as one of the artist's most perfect creations. The collection of seventeenth and eighteenth century Dutch and Flemish paintings includes important works by Rubens, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Vermeer and almost all the leading artists of their time.
This tour lasts a minimum of 1 hour and is by group booking only (1-35 persons). The price ranges from Euro 82,- for the 1 hour tour up to Euro 142,- for the 2 hours tour (per guide). The entrance fees are extra. If there are more than 25 people in the group, then we will arrange for another tour guide.
